Frequently Asked Questions

ARE VISITORS PERMITTED FOR A DAY OR NIGHT?

No, only registered guests are permitted access to the property unless otherwise approved by management. It is recommended to properly account for all guests staying at the cabin prior to arriving at the cabin. We want you to enjoy your stay, but if we notice that there are unregistered guests at the cabin, additional charges will be made.

WHAT IS THE WILDLIFE LIKE AT THE CABINS?

We do have our cabins professionally exterminated, but we are in the country! This means that our cabins are not 100% bug or mouse proof. It is important to remember that we invaded their habitat, so chances are you will see insects, spiders, or mice. You most likely will encounter various woodland creatures such as deer, wild turkey, raccoons, squirrels, coyotes, and a wide variety of birds for bird watching. We emphasize that you do not feed or approach the wildlife. Do not leave food out at night as this could lead to uninvited guests at your cabin.

IS THERE CELL PHONE/INTERNET SERVICE AT THE CABINS?

Cell phone service can be very intermittent due to the cabins being located in the hills or country. Most of our cabins do have wireless internet access. Check the amenities for your cabin of choice.

ARE EARLY CHECK-INS AND LATE CHECK-OUTS AVAILABLE?

Management must pre-approve early check-ins and late check-outs. Early check-in and late check-out will only be available if we haven’t had guests staying at the cabin before your arrival OR if we do not have guests checking in relatively soon after your departure. Our cleaning team needs adequate time to clean the cabin before each guest’s stay.

WHAT ITEMS SHOULD I BRING?

We do not provide personal toiletries such as: shampoo, conditioner, shower soap, hair styling/drying tools. Guests must bring personal beach towels. While some games and movies are available at some cabins, we cannot guarantee they will satisfy your needs. All food and beverage related items (coffee, coffee filters, food seasoning, etc.) must be provided by the guest. We do provide salt, pepper, and sugar at the cabins.

IS THERE DAILY HOUSEKEEPING/ ROOM SERVICE?

We try to give our guests as much privacy as possible to help ensure a secluded getaway. For this reason, we do not provide daily housekeeping or room service. The cabins are cleaned especially for you prior to your arrival. It is our mission to provide you a clean and satisfying cabin for your stay. However, housekeeping/maintenance will visit to service your hot tub if you are staying for more than two days.

DO WE ALLOW EVENTS SUCH AS AFTER-PROM, GRADUATION OR COLLEGE FORMAL PARTIES?

We do not rent our facilities to after-prom, high school/college graduation or college formal parties. All events are subject to approval by owners/management prior to confirmation of a reservation.

DO THE CABINS HAVE FIRE PITS? IF SO, CAN WE BRING OUR OWN WOOD?

Each cabin has a fire pit. We ask that you DO NOT bring your own wood in an attempt to stop the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer, an invasive species deadly to Ohio’s forest. Firewood is for sale on our website or general store and multiple other locations throughout the area. If you order with us, we will make sure you receive your firewood at the time of check-in.
