ATV enthusiasts are minutes from Dorr Run Trail Head which offers over 75 miles of designated trails for off-road vehicle riders, mountain bikers, and hikers. Drive 14 miles away from your cabin to enjoy the nature of Lake Logan. Take a 30 minute drive from your cabin to visit Old Man's Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Rock House, Conkle's Hollow, or Rock Bridge located in Hocking Hills State Park. No matter the season, you and your guests won't be disappointed when visiting all the beauty Hocking Hills offers!
The Red Cardinal Cottage is located 3 miles from Nelsonville and Wayne National Forest. The State Park offers over thousands of acres to explore by hiking, off-highway vehicle riding, mountain biking, or horseback riding. When in town, guests will want to visit Nelsonville's Historic Square Arts District, Stuart's Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, or the Nelsonville Music Festival that is held every year at Hocking College. 14 miles Southwest of the cabin, guests will run into the beautiful 120-acre Lake Hope State Park located in Zaleski State Forest. Guests can enjoy some fine dining at Lake Hope Lodge or a day of picnicking and swimming with family and friends.

Our places are ideal for a family & friends wanting to enjoy the simple pleasures of nature to relax and enjoy in a luxury farmhouse conveniently located near many exciting opportunities and outdoor adventures. Our Red Cardinal Cottage is comfortably furnished. There is a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, dishes, pots & pans, utensils, microwave, dishwasher, 2- 3 bedrooms, WIFI, cable TV, DVD, central air conditioning, washer and dryer, linens and bath towels. There is an outside screen porch with gas grill (propane included)and Hot Tub. Pinic tables. Firewood provided at small charge.
After hiking the trails at the Hocking Hills State Parks or hunting in the nearby Wayne National Forest enjoy your evening by the stars by a crackling fire while telling tall tales and toasting marshmallows.
